Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria, a city of broad boulevards set at the foot of Vitosha mountain. The gold-domed Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is its most famous landmark, and a short walk away the Roman ruins of Serdica lie beneath the modern streets. The city is also known for its mineral springs, the Boyana Church with its medieval frescoes and the ski and hiking trails on Vitosha.

From Skopje the route runs east through Kumanovo and Kriva Palanka to the Bulgarian border; border formalities apply, so keep your passport ready. We also run transfers between Skopje and Sofia Airport for passengers connecting to or from flights there.
